where you find answers to your questions about working from home...
Hi, I'm Tom Martin, host of this site. Since you're investing your valuable time to visit,
I'd like to introduce myself.
I'm a familyman with a wife Merchal, two sons, and one granson. Someone who has worked at a JOB to support their family, been self-employed, and started building a home business part-time.
We're not some Internet or Business Guru. We are probably a lot like you, someone with the desire to stay home and be near family, while not having to fight traffic every morning and night, someone who wants to work their own hours and take vacations when ever and for however long they want, someone with the desire for greater control over their time and their life.
The difference between us may be our experience as business developers and what we have learned from both our success and failures,
from great training resources, and from some very successful mentors.
This allows us to choose how we spend each day and to do what we enjoy - spending time with family and helping, coaching, and mentoring others.
During coaching sessions or just chatting with people, we found that most people have an interest in being able to work from home
or some need like, getting out of debt or paying for college without creating a large debt.
But many procrastinate because they have so many unanswered question.
That's why we provide this web site and newsletter, so you can get answers to your questions,
get tips on building a home business, resources for training, and other tips to help you acheive your WHY,
We would love to hear from you and welcome your comments -- so we may make changes or add additional information to this site
to better serve others in the future.
God Bless,
Tom Martin

I'm excited about the Ad or Web Site I saw, but why doesn't it just tell me about the business?
Many people wonder about this because many salespeople have used this curiosity method to get their name and continuously bug them to sell something, which since I don't know what you are looked at, it's possible that's the case.
Or it may not...
Many home business's may have multiple options that you may be interested in and qualify for, and it could take you days or even weeks to review all the information ,
you might miss what's important to you -- and that just won't be fair to you.
It's better if you can talk with someone so you can be sure to get the information that's important to you, and to get all your questions answered.
When I do talk with someone, why do they ask so many questions?
The company and the person talking with you about a home business will be investing time and money to get you started, so they need to find out more about you and what you are looking for to determine if you qualify, and to determine what information to direct you to.
It could take months and even years to learn everything about the business, but by asking questions, the business coach can make sure you get the information that you will need to make an informed decision if the business will meet your needs, and if it's right for you.
Who is ...?
That's a good question and very important to find out. You can start by doing a Google for their name. But weather you find something good about them or bad, don't stop there.
Be aware that some people post bad things about others, so they can promote their own agenda.
What you really need to do, is to talk with them. Personally, If I can't contact them, I wouldn't consider their business. But be fair, leave a voice mail and email. They may be helping others, so give them a few days.
How much time does it take?
Again that depends on the actual home business you choose, but the advantages of a home business are, being able to work part-time and according to your schedule. And due to the power of leverage, this part-time effort over time can produce an income greater then you can make with a full time job. In fact, in many cases, the more you make, the less you will be working.
The key is to treat your part-time business just like you would if you owned a million dollar business. Don't treat it as a hobby where you work whenever you feel like it.
You should plan to work at least two hours a day, five to six days a week.
Plus, an additional hour per day for training and developing your skils will reward you with success in a shorter timeframe.
How much can I make?
This depends on a lot of factors; such as the home business you choose, your effort, willingness to learn, time, and your motivation or your WHY.
There are home business's, where there is no limit on how much you can make, and where some people have earned six figure incomes monthly.
And unlike a job, you can control how much you earn by your efforts. So you need to determine the potential by asking how the compensation plan rewards someone who achieves maximum results. Plus, since a home business is "earn as you learn", make sure the compensation plan is achievable for part-timers.
Is this selling?
When you ask this question, the following are some of the answers you may get:
- Why, do you like selling?
Yes - Then great, you will love this...
No - Then great, you will love this...
And if you're like me, I'm sure you didn't like the way your question was answered.
- It's not really selling, it's like getting paid for something you are already doing. Like when you tell a friend about a good movie or restaurant, the only different is you get paid for telling them.
There is some truth to this answer, but it's a little different when you contact someone to recommend something that you get paid for.
As a home business owner your job is the same as any business owner. It's to market your business. If you opened a shoe store, you would find ways to let other know about your store. Or maybe you don't have a physical store, but a store on the Internet. Either way you find ways to inform others about your business or store. Then when people are informed about what you have for sale, they may decide to buy something.
It's funny, but the majority of people who say they hate selling, have no problem with someone buying something from their web site. So is it selling, Yes or No, you decide.
In my case, it's not a selling business. It's a coaching business..
It's about working with a team to help inspire and create success in others.
